All these questions comprise a giant stall tactic because writing is really really hard! I have used these excuses frequently, and I am not letting myself get away with them anymore.

If everyone could do it (write well, become popular and/or fabulously wealthy) everyone would. It is much harder than most people think.

Margaret Atwood once described her lawyer saying: "it must be so nice, Margaret, to just sit around all day and write." As if there was no real work invoved and words and pages just fly from your fingertips into a ready made, bestselling book.
