So, how old are you now? You mention a revelation at age 25 then say what you have learned took you 20 years to figure out. My guess is you are in your late forties or early fifties, a time when most men decide to settle down. Time for that one good woman, since you are past your sell-by date. Not to mention that all your drinking buddies are married, and likely have kids too.
